NGC 1952 is an experiment with found photographs and astronomic images from the Hubble Space Telescope.
The photograph of the missing being will touch me like the delayed rays of a star.
Through photographs, the world becomes a series of unrelated, freestanding paticles; and history, past and present, a set of anecdotes and faits divers.
Susan Sontag in On Photography, 1977
Some time ago we found three boxes full of old family images on a small flea-market. The earliest photographs were from the late 19th century the most recent ones from the 1980s.
Today the old family snapshot appear like paticles of a very different time. We can look at them, contruct new relations, interpret the faces and gestures, try to discover a heartiness.
We cannot stop to construct a story around these images — even though it is completely guided by our own beliefs and desires.
